Add a domain to your web site

At the moment, we do not sell the domain names. This feature might be available in the following releases.

When the website is created it must have a default domain name (sub-domain of hosting provider domain). You can assign additional domain names if your hosting plan supports it. All types are supported, including international domains (.com, .net, .org, .us...)

1. Acquire a domain name with a domain name registrar.

2. Login at Doka control panel

3. Navigate to "Dashboard -> Websites -> (your site name) -> Domains / Bindings"

4. Type in the domain name and click the "Bind new domain name" button. The domain name will be added to our DNS servers and IIS as bindings for your website. You will see the DNS configuration popup.

5. Login at your Domain name registrar management panel and configure it according to instructions.

The preferred way for pointing is to set our Name Servers for your domain, but you can also create an A or CNAME record at your domain name registrar. You need to use one of the three methods, not all at the same time.

Please consult with your registrar if you have problems with their control panel.

It may take up to 48 hours for domain names to start working properly. However there is a chance that it will be available immediately after you complete all steps. If it ’s not, try to check it every 30 minutes.
