Enterpise Manager connection hangs or has delayed response time

Enterprise Manager must page through all of the databases on the server before granting access to yours. The process can take anywhere from 5-40 minutes depending on your connection speed and network congestion.
   
   You also have the option of connecting to your database with our web based sql manager, or through coded asp or aspx pages.
   
   If you are using SQL Server 2000' Enterprise Manager, make sure you have installed service pack 3 as this will fix the delay.
