Pointing a domain name to your Virtual Server
Free sub domains:
If you want to use a free subdomain of your hosting provider go to “DNS Records” sub menu of your VPS and in the “A records:” dialog add the full sub domain (example: mysybdomain.somee.com, or www.my.somee.com).
Purchased domains
If you purchased the domain name from a domain name registrar there are several ways you can point it to your VPS hosted with us.
1. In the domain name registrar DNS settings for the domain add an “A record” pointing to your server’s IP address.
2. In the domain name registrar DNS settings for the domain add a “CNAME record” pointing to any other domain which is already pointing to your VPS.
3. In the domain name registrar DNS settings change Name servers for the domain. You can find our name servers in the “DNS records” sub menu.
After that go to “DNS Records” sub menu of your VPS in our control panel and in the “A records:” dialog add the full domain or any sub domains (example: mydomain.com, or subdomain.mydomain.com).
