Virtual Server Traffic
Navigate to: Main Menu > Virtual servers > Select a server > Click the Traffic tab.
This page provides a detailed breakdown of your server's network usage. Monitoring traffic is essential for managing bandwidth costs and detecting unusual activity (such as traffic spikes or potential attacks).
Graph Overview
The page displays three distinct timeframes to help you analyze trends:
- Last 24 hours: Shows high-resolution data with a 5-minute polling interval, ideal for troubleshooting immediate issues.
- This month: Displays the current billing cycle's usage with a 1-hour polling interval.
- Previous month: Provides historical data for comparison.
Key Metrics
The monitoring panels track several data points:
- Incoming vs. Outgoing: The graphs distinguish between data downloaded to your server (Incoming) and data sent out (Outgoing).
- Average In/Out: Shows the mean data transfer rate (in Kbps) over the selected period.
- Usage Total: The total amount of data (in GB) consumed so far.
- Quota: Displays the bandwidth limit allowed by your hosting plan. Keeping an eye on "Usage total" versus "Quota" helps prevent overage charges or service throttling.
