Virtual Server Upgrade
Navigate to: Main Menu > Virtual servers > Select a server > Click the Upgrade tab.
This section allows you to modify your virtual server configuration to match your current needs. You can perform upgrades or downgrades at any time without migrating to a new machine.
1. Adjustable Properties
The comparison table displays your Original package on the left and the Package after upgrade on the right.
You can adjust almost every aspect of your plan using the dropdown menus in the right-hand column:
- Billing Interval: Change your renewal frequency (e.g., switch from Monthly to Yearly).
- Hardware Resources: Scale your CPU cores, Memory, or Disk space up or down.
- Network: Adjust your monthly transfer limit or connection speed.
- Operating System: Warning: Changing the OS will completely wipe your data. If you only adjust hardware or billing settings, your data remains safe.
2. Select Billing Mode
When changing your plan, you must choose how to calculate the costs. In both cases, you do not lose money; any unused funds from your previous plan are fully credited to the transaction.
- Continue billing cycle: This option avoids an immediate charge by adjusting your expiration date based on your remaining funds.
- If you Upgrade (higher price): Your service duration will shorten.
- If you Downgrade (lower price): Your service duration will extend.
Note: This option generates a $0.00 invoice for record-keeping.
- Start new billing cycle with an upgrade: This starts a fresh subscription period immediately based on the new Billing interval you selected. A new invoice is generated for the full price of the new plan, but your unused funds are subtracted from the total as a discount.
3. Finalize & Pay
Review the New billing details section to see the financial impact.
- Confirmations: You must tick the checkboxes at the bottom to acknowledge that the server will be rebooted and that you accept the payment terms.
- Execution: Click UPGRADE to process the change. If a payment is required, you must pay the invoice within 24 hours to prevent the service from being disabled.
