Virtual Server Web Console
Navigate to: Main Menu > Virtual servers > Select a server > Click the Console tab.
The Web Console provides direct, "out-of-band" access to your virtual server through your web browser. This acts like a physical monitor and keyboard attached directly to the machine, bypassing normal network connections.
When to use this:
- Emergency Access: Essential if you have locked yourself out of SSH or Remote Desktop (RDP), or if the server's firewall settings are misconfigured.
- Boot Diagnostics: Watch the server boot up in real-time to identify startup errors or apply BIOS updates.
Toolbar Controls
The toolbar at the top of the console window provides immediate power and input commands:
- Power Actions:
- Hard reset: Instantly reboots the server (simulates pressing the reset button). Use only if the operating system is completely frozen.
- Restart OS / Shutdown OS: Sends a graceful signal to the operating system to reboot or shut down safely. This is preferred over a hard reset.
- Power off: Instantly cuts power to the machine.
- Utilities:
- View Fullscreen: Expands the terminal view to fill your monitor.
- Send Ctrl+Alt+Delete: Sends this specific keystroke sequence to the server. This is frequently required to unlock the login screen on Windows servers.
