Why was my Free Website deleted? (And can I restore it?)
To maintain the quality of our free hosting service and manage resources efficiently, our system automatically removes free websites that have been abandoned. However, we have specific safeguards in place to ensure active users do not lose their work.
When does deletion happen?
A free website is eligible for automatic deletion only if ALL of the following conditions are met:
- No Website Traffic: Our system has not detected any requests (via our advertisement banner) for approximately 45 days.
- No Control Panel Activity: You have not logged into your account management panel for over 60 days.
- No Purchase History: You have never purchased a paid service (Total Invoice Value = 0).
How to prevent deletion
To keep your free website active, you only need to satisfy ONE of the following criteria:
- Log In Periodically: Simply logging into the Control Panel once every 60 days signals to us that your account is active.
- Make a Purchase: Any account that has made a purchase (even a one-time purchase in the past) is permanently exempt from this automatic deletion rule.
- Ensure Ads are Visible: If you rely solely on website traffic to keep the site alive, ensure our advertisement code is not hidden by your CSS/HTML. The system relies on ad impressions to count "hits."
Can I recover my files?
Unlike databases (which have accessible backup storage), deleted website files are not automatically available to users.
However, restoration is possible under specific conditions:
- Server Archives: Your website is backed up as part of our global server snapshots.
- Manual Process: Extracting a specific website from these server-wide archives is a complex, manual operation performed by our engineers.
- Paid Service: Because this requires manual intervention, restoration is a paid service.
If you need to recover a deleted free website, please contact support immediately. Note that server backups are only retained for a limited time.
